Sanjeev Anand - Managing Director
Sanjeev Anand was appointed as Managing Director of BCR in May, 2009. Prior to joining BCR, he was employed as an international staff with Citibank where he worked in various businesses globally and held a number of CEO and other senior appointments with Citibank across Asia, Africa and Europe.
In all he has over 25 years of experience in corporate, investment and retail banking.
Isaiah G Chindumba - Chief Operating Officer
Isaiah G Chindumba was appointed as BCR’s Chief Operating Officer in August 2009-to date. He Joined BCR after 23 years Bank Operations and Technology stint with Citigroup an American international banking giant present in 14 African countries.
Graham is a career banker having had some 43 years of banking experience including 35 years with Standard Chartered Bank during which time he has gained an in depth knowledge in most banking operations.
He has specialised in risk management and stressed debt solutions.
John GATASHA - Chief Finance Officer
Hannington NAMARA - Head of Corporate Banking
Before joining BCR, he worked with Rwanda Investment Promotion agency (today known as RDB). He joined the bank in June 2005 as the Marketing and Communications Manager where he served for 3 years before moving to corporate banking department in 2008.
Hannington is a charismatic young professional, motivated by his great achievements and has a skillful drive for innovation and strategic focus.
Alfred BAGUMA - Head of Business Banking and Leasing
Alfred BAGUMA has been Head of Leasing and Business Banking since September 2009. As head of department he is responsible for driving, supporting and coordinating the performance of the Bank’s leasing and business banking segment.
Louise Kagaju - Chief Internal Auditor
An energetic, self-motivated and hard working Chief Internal auditor with a broad experience in tax assessment and planning, accounting and finance. Proven leadership skills involving managing, developing and motivating teams to achieve their objectives.
Faustin Byishimo - Head of Retail Banking & Marketing
Faustin R. Byishimo is the head of Retail Banking and Marketing, and has served the bank for over 10 years under different managerial positions.
He has in-depth strategic management and operational experience that has been acquired through various top level assignments within the company that include: Finance, Internal Audit, Branches Operations, Business Development, Marketing and Retail.
Lena M. MILITISI - Head of Legal & Company Secretary
Ngagi Kabarega - Head of Internal Control and Compliance
Ngagi Kabarega is the bank’s Head of Internal Control and Compliance (BCR); In his role, he ensures that the bank demonstrates compliance and conformity with the relevant regulations of the Central Bank (BNR) and other regulatory bodies, that Audit and Internal control corrective action plans are implemented within the set deadline as well as ensure proper corporate governance and AML and KYC awareness. As the Head of Internal Control and Compliance, Ngagi reports to the Board Audit Committee.
Judith Muhongerwa - Head of Human Resources
Judith is a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a UK professional body that governs continuous development of Human Resources practitioners.
Having joined Banque Commerciale du Rwanda (BCR) Ltd in June 2008 in the current position, her primary focus is to anticipate, develop and implement HR strategies and policies that will drive the delivery of the bank’ strategic ambitious plans.
Anita Umulisa - Head of Treasury
Anita joined BCR as a financial accountant in March 2006 and later on was given the role of Financial controller.
In 2007, Anita passed all the stages of the ACCA program and has been admitted as a member of the prestigious body of accountants, the fastest growing body of professional accountants.
In her current position as Head of Treasury, Anita Umulisa is primarily responsible of the Asset and Liability Management.
Christelle Kayihura - Head of Credit
Christelle joined BCR in 2005. She is involved in products and transactions structuring within various sectors of the economy ranging from manufacturing, agriculture, transport, telecommunications, real estate, trade and tourism. As the policy custodian, she ensures that credit risk is adequately managed through thorough independent processes, adequate portfolio management and full adherence to internal and statutory guidelines and procedures.
Christelle holds a “Cum Laude” Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting. She has prior experience in Finance and Assurance Services.
