Each client is managed by an account manager who ensures that our clients receive advice, solutions and superior service on products ranging from routine banking enquiries to complex financial transactions.
Treasury
Welcome to BCR's Treasury Services. We provide solutions that enable you expand your business and venture into foreign markets. We take our time to understand your business. This enables us craft and tailor solutions on foreign exchange requirements as you continue to expand in international markets. You can select from a wide range of products, from purchase and sale in foreign exchange transactions, to complex derivative structures.
These products help you manage risk on currency and interest rate exposures as well as provide yield enhancement opportunities on your deposits. Some of the other features include:-
- Purchase & sell of FX: Purchase of Foreign currency from customers and sale of Foreign currency to customers.
- Forward contracts: Offering forward contracts to customers willing to hedge for any unforeseen currency risk.
- Treasury Bills: Purchase of Treasury Bills for customers from the National Bank of Rwanda which is the central bank in Rwanda. We are participants in the primary market.
- Treasury News letter: Production and distribution of a weekly newsletter which provides a brief analysis of the local foreign exchange market, local money market and international financial markets to our customers via e-mail.
Documentary Letter of Credit
Features
- Savings on cash outflows before goods arrive.
- Guarantee of receipt of goods from supplier
- L/C’s would not normally be issued for longer than twelve months.
Basic Application Requirements
- Copy of the statutory documents (Statutes/Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association, Certificate of registration or a copy of identity card for individuals)
- Financial statements for 3 consecutive years (Balance sheet & Income statement) if it has been in operation. For the start ups we require opening balance sheet and income statement forecast.
- Tax clearance certificate from the RRA no more than three months old where considered appropriate
- Pro-forma invoices or contracts for goods and services to be imported.
Finance Lease
Features
- Financing of up to 70% of the cost of asset
- Finance over a period of up to 5 years
- Normally no other security is required except for large amounts and financing of specialized assets.
Basic Application Requirements
- Copy of the statutory documents (Statutes/Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association, Certificate of registration or a copy of identity card for individuals)
- Financial statements for 3 consecutive years (Balance sheet & Income statement) if it has been in operation. For the start ups we require opening balance sheet and income statement forecast.
- Cash flow projections for the period of the facility.
- Tax clearance certificate from the RRA no more than three months old
- Pro forma invoice of the equipment or provisional sale agreement.
